Acceptable use policy

The messaging rules that keep WhatsApp useful for customers and every business on Dizitallink.

Last updated:

Dizitallink is for businesses that send WhatsApp messages people want to receive. This acceptable use policy sets the rules for every account. It forms part of our terms of service and works alongside Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, which also applies to you.

  • Send business-initiated messages only to people who opted in to receive WhatsApp messages from your business. The opt-in must name your business and make clear the messages will come on WhatsApp.
  • Never buy, rent, share or scrape phone number lists, and never import contacts who did not opt in.
  • Keep a record of when and how each contact opted in. Dizitallink stores the opt-in source and date with each contact.
  • Send only the kind of messages the contact agreed to. Consent for order updates is not consent for daily promotions.

Honour opt-outs

  • Every contact must be able to stop messages easily. We recommend a footer such as "Reply STOP to unsubscribe".
  • When a contact replies STOP or similar words, Dizitallink marks them as unsubscribed automatically. Do not re-add them or message them again unless they opt in again.
  • Respect opt-out requests made by phone, email or in person too.

Message responsibly

  • Use approved templates for messages outside the 24-hour customer service window, in the correct category.
  • Do not send excessive messages. Repeated blocks and reports lower your number's quality rating and can get it restricted by Meta.
  • Make sure automated and AI replies give contacts a clear way to reach a person.
  • Identify your business clearly. Do not impersonate another person, brand or organisation, including Meta or WhatsApp.

Content you must not send

  • Anything illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading, including fake urgency, false prizes and phishing links
  • Threats, harassment, hate speech or content that discriminates against people
  • Sexually explicit content, or any content that involves minors in an inappropriate way
  • Malware, or links to sites that distribute it
  • Requests for, or sharing of, full payment card numbers, bank account passwords, government ID numbers or other sensitive identifiers
  • Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or privacy

Restricted products and services

You must not use Dizitallink to sell or promote goods and services prohibited by the WhatsApp Commerce Policy, including:

  • Illegal, prescription or recreational drugs, and drug paraphernalia
  • Tobacco, vaping and alcohol products, where prohibited
  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives
  • Real-money gambling, where prohibited
  • Adult products and services
  • Multi-level marketing, payday loans, pyramid schemes and similar
  • Counterfeit goods, and medical or health products with false claims
  • Live animals, and anything else the Commerce Policy prohibits

Regulated businesses (for example in finance, healthcare or education) must also follow the advertising and communication rules of their regulators.

Using the platform

  • Do not try to get around messaging limits, quality ratings, billing or security controls.
  • Do not access other businesses' data, probe or overload our systems, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Do not use Dizitallink to run a general-purpose AI chatbot; AI replies must serve your own business's customers.

What happens if the rules are broken

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may warn you, pause campaigns, remove content, suspend the account, or close it. Meta may separately restrict or ban your number. Where the law requires, we may report illegal activity to the authorities.

Reporting abuse

If you received an unwanted WhatsApp message from a business that uses Dizitallink, reply STOP to that business and email [email protected] with the business name, the number that messaged you, and the date. You can also block and report the number in WhatsApp. We investigate every report.
